I use a diverse range of high-quality protein ingredients – including whey isolate, eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds and collagen – to create treats that deliver a quick protein boost and keep you feeling full for longer. This variety ensures a complete amino acid profile, essential for muscle growth, repair and recovery.
But my treats offer more than just protein. Healthy fats and fibre from nuts and seeds support sustained energy and satiety, while eggs and dairy contribute essential vitamins and minerals like calcium. You’ve probably heard that protein keeps you full, but did you know it also helps you manage your calorie intake? Your body uses significantly more energy to digest protein than it does for carbohydrates or fats, a process is known as the thermic effect of food (TEF). Because your body has to work so hard to break protein down, a portion of the calories in my bakes are used up in the digestive process itself and are not fully absorbed. In contrast, your body uses much less energy to digest carbs and fats, absorbing almost all of their calories. This is what makes my bakes an excellent way to satisfy your sweet tooth and still stay on track with your goals.
